A: Sweating is actually a sign that we are in a good condition. It is our body's way of regulating it's temperature. The moisture on our skin evaporates into the air, which cools down our body and keeps it from overheating. The more fit we are, the more quickly this temperature regulation system kicks in. If we didn't start sweating until later in our workout, our temperature could rise dangerously high and put us at risk for dehydration and heat exhaustion. By perspiring steadily throughout our workout, from the warm-up through the cool down, we lose less water overall and keep our body temperature at a safe, steady level.
