The results of a study conducted in Italy, published in the
Journal of Nutrition, reveal eating a small square (specifically 6.7 grams or 0.23 ounces) of dark chocolate every day may protect your your heart from inflammation and heart disease. Consuming moderate amounts of dark chocolate lowered people's blood levels of C-reactive protein, which causes inflammation in the arteries. You can have too much of a good thing, however, so don't go overboard with this tasty treat.
